CHIRAG General Body is formed by 31 members, 4 of which form CHIRAG Governing Body. The Governing Body functions as CHIRAG North star, ensuring that we remain true to the cause. The Governing Body consists of members with diverse backgrounds and interests.

Late Mr. Kanai Lall
Founder, Geologist and retired corporate executive

On 13^th June 2013 Mr. Kanai Lall, Founder and Chairman of CHIRAG, breathed his last after a prolonged illness. He was 89 years old. Kanai ji, or buboo (Kumaoni word for Grandfather) as he was fondly referred to both within Chirag and in the surrounding areas, was instrumental in nurturing the organization with the clarity of his vision and the high moral standards he set for all employees and associates. A well read man with a keen mind, he remained actively involved in the affairs of the organization till such time as ill health forced him to retire. His absence is keenly felt and yet we know that as we continue down the path that he set before us, he will be with us all the way.
