Programmes for Young People

- Graduation Day at the Kishori Shikshan Kendra
Unlike many parts of India, literacy among youth is quite high at 70 percent. However, the employment opportunities are limited and the quality of education poor. Young people either do not have the information, or the skills to support themselves and are often at a loose end.
To address issues related to youth, Chirag conducts a life skills program for adolescent girls and boys (Kishori Shikshan Kendra/ Kishor Shikshan Kendra) and operates an Adolecent Resource Center (ARC) that organizes events and provides conselling and information to youth.
The ARC has also started conducting vocational training programs for youth to improve their employment opportunities and is actively involved in ensuring their successful placements with employers in the region.
