The school charges nominal fees from the students, which covers only 7-12% of the total expenses incurred by the school. As a result, we are greatly dependent on donations to support our School. Our costs include the salary and training of teachers, the purchase of school materials, the maintenance of the buildings, the electricity and internet bills, the scholarships for students, etc. For more details kindly login to the Chirag School website

Our main donor is currently Kumaun Grameen Udyog (KGU), a Section 8 company that supports Chirag developmental work. The school however welcomes support from individual and institutional donors who are interested in furthering the school mission. It is also a pleasure for us to host long term volunteers (minimum 6 months) to help out at the school. We are currently looking for volunteers who are interested in teaching arts and crafts classes, dance classes, music classes, etc.
